ecoboost misfire
i bought my ecoboost 3 days ago and i was driving up a mile long 3% grade hill so i decided to romp on it for the first time. the truck misfired for an 1/8 mile bad and then cleared out. this ecoboost doesnt drive like the eco the dealer gave me to drive for 3 days prior to my purchase. the throttle response is also really poor. i have a scheduled appointment in 3 days for some paint issues and i am going to have them check out the misfire. i am sure they will tell me they found nothin wrong. i traded my 2011 fx4 cause it has issues and i hope this truck will not be the same!!

Could this be the condensation in the intercooler issue I've read about? If it was a misfire I think the CEL would be flashing.

That update is already installed on all ecoboost trucks made after 2/7/12 so yours already has it. You could see if they could flash it again, but I doubt it would do any good if the dealership were to agree to do it.
