I know the bracket position has been discussed but I can't find any info on installing the bracket. Mine did not come with the front bracket so I am wanting to add one for a vanity plate. I know it goes on the drivers side where that black piece of plastic is but I dont know how to install the bracket. Does that black piece come off or do I have to drill holes into that piece? Also where is the best place to get the bracket? Thanks

That bumper pad comes off and there is a plastic bracket that goes in its place.. I have the bracket and i dont need it. I will trade you for your bumper pad???

The pad is held in by 4 plastic clips on the back off it. When ordered from the dealer they ship both left and right black covers. The right side had the frame for the license plate built on it and they just snap back into the bumper.

I had to order the frame, so now I have the old blank pad too as an extra.

I have a license plate bracket from my ecoboost for the front. I moved from VA to PA and dont need it anymore. PM me if interested.
