Yeah, I know. You seem like a pretty cool cat and I wish I could help you more. Hell, I would even help you on your move if I were close by and you bought the beer. What I have always found that work the best is ask around the shop who the best technician is and asked for him to work on your truck. Also, speak with him if you can as he is working on your truck, but be careful how you speak to him. Usually the good technicians DO NOT like be spoken to as if you are telling them how to do their job. If you get on a good relationship with him like buy him a soda or something then you are golden and he will go the extra mile for you. Talk to him as if he is the professional and you are learning from him with some curious suggestions on what you think it might be but asking him what he thinks. It is hard to find this type of guy and sometimes a dealership doesn't have one. I used to have one of these type of technicians that I exclusively used to go to, but unfortunately he is not in my area anymore and I have to find another. Good luck, bro.

And take my shots at you with a grain of salt. I am just busting your ***** because I know you can take it and have a sense of humor.

I understand. Thanks Al. I figured you were messing with me. I'm so bummed out... Went from being one of the biggest EB fan boys to wishing I never walked into the Ford dealership.

Where you're pointing in your second video is the rear of the phaser solenoids. It's also the highest point of solid metal on the motor. It's going to be tough to diagnose by sound without a steth. There is a massive piece of aluminum under those solenoids that can transmit sound and vibration from anywhere on the block. With my sub turned up, I hear more than a "tap tap", I hear a solid knock knock.

Sorry for your pain rdkev. Just letting you know. Could be bad or maybe not. Just not a great place to narrow a sound down.

Me too.

I just went back and looked at aaaaaaaalllll my previous issues threads. Depressing to know that I put up with this POS for 2 years now, and worse comes to worst I'll be dealing with it for another 2 years, Unless some hood rat wants to steal it.

At this point, I would rather it be bad... That way I can just smile at them and say "normal, huh?"

rdkev Hey I been off the forum for a few days. No I do not know about the Ford dealerships in that area. I just got my truck Nov 2012, so I only know about Ford in SC.
