Current 5.0 guys dont seem pissed that there trucks are slower than the v6 ecoboost, and make less power... They have the V8 sound...
I prefer performance over noise. Performance gets you the first place trophy and a date with the prom queen. Noise gets you.... well it gets you your own satisfaction of listening to it and other guys that may like noise. I am not about satisfying other guys and am all for taking home the prom queen. So yeah, I would be pissed if I had paid for a 2010 GT and not only have the following years V6 almost match it's performance, I would also have gotten a lot more power for the same amount of money if I would waited to buy the 2011 GT.

I was jokeing and taking a stab at the 5.0 crowd. Im in the same boat as you. But i did buy a 2011 Mustang GT. And i DID buy a 2012 Ecoboost.

Performance is #1 in my book.

Sorry, I hear noise is better than performance argument all the time and could not tell you were joking.

If the manuals does say that (I've never read that, in any manual) it is dead wrong. -please give a reference to higher elevations/octane thought here.

That's because the higher the elevation the LESS octane an internal combustion engine needs. The lower the octane, the higher the BTUs that are produced from combustion.

FYI

The manual does say that. Try Getting a PDF version.
