Eco-boost exhaust note
I took delivery of my truck on Tuesday. Already got rid of the stock Goodyears and replaced them with Michelin LTX MS/2s. Mud guards are on, getting the entire front 3M'd next week and the front windows tinted. Bakflip will come next week too.
This is my first Ford truck since a '84 F150 w/the 300, straight six. What amazes me is that the EB's exhaust note is very reminiscent of that engine. What's different is the extra 245 hp and 6500 rpm redline. I never had a tach in that truck, but I'm sure it couldn't spin more 4000 rpm.
Loving the first week. I'm not a big fan of the EPS, as I don't think Ford hasn't gotten the feel quite right.

Yes the steering still feels weird to me in parking lots.
Not so bad driving at speed though.
Just hard to get used to a big truck driving like a car.
Grats on the new truck!

I've got nothing to compare it to except my wife's Audi, which is dialed in. Had a Honda S2000 with "EPS" (Honda's term) which didn't lack for steering feel either. Granted the F150 weighs as much as 2 Hondas.

EPS off road
I agree with you guys EPS is too "light" without enough feedback for paved mountain road cornering.
But EPS only requires an awesomely light touch to crawl through rock! Be careful if you're not use to these conditions. Maybe to light for guys without much experience but welcomed for grey haired guys like me.
Just wonder how much replacement will be. Hydraulic steering was simple and cheep to repair! Hope this is too.

I drove my wives Camary (she owned it when we got married so don't pound me) last week for the fist time since I got my new Ecoboost SCAB June. I actually thought her power steering was going out.
