Default EB Instrument Cluster problem

Just picked up my EB 2011 XLT Sterling Grey XLT Chrome, XLT plus, XLT convenience, keyless, brake controller. Love the truck. the only problem is I can't keep my eyes off the Avg. MPG numbers and graph on the cneter dash screen. IT'S ADDICTING and I can't appreciate the rest of my truck. Can you turn it off and just see the Ford start up screen? The other menu screens just aren't as sexy. Although "Truck Apps" is pretty cool watching pitch and bank angle. Even with all the hands free sync stuff my eyes keep pinning to the AVG MPG- It's getting obsessive - HELP

Default I know what you mean

I picked up my EB Scab on Weds. and drove only a little while but spent all the time on this screen. I'm used to my wife's hybred Camrey which has a totally different display but is also addictive. With the Toyota one screen just shows a smooth progresion display, not instantainious like the "green zone" and I usually leave that one up. I know I can be trained to not watch but I also know it's an addiction to hypermile and to get the best results. Today I spend learning Sync.

Had the same issue of not being able to take my eyes off of this screen show I changed it to the Trip A and now I don't look at it as much.

I only have about 150 miles on the truck which are around town miles. I am getting 15.5 mpg. I took a five mile trip on the interstate at around 60 mph and was getting 18.7 mpg. It's hard to tell what to expect since the truck is new and our tempratures here have been mid-teens to low 20's every day. Once Spring/Summer get here I hope to see the + 2 mpgs I get on my other vehicles in the warmer seasons.

Red face

Its hypnosis - Watch the little green bar , that's right, your doing good.
