Dear Ford Motor Company:
I would pay an extra $1.50 for my truck to cover the cost of materials, if you would put this on my truck during manufacturing.

I just wrapped a zip tie around my pins. I rarely get behind the seat anyway but it is nice to have just in case.

Which way does the pin need to move to release the seat? Having a hard time getting mine down.

you need to pull up on the pin. It can be tough the first time. Take the box end of a wrench and put it around the head of the pin and pull up.

I got mine fixed in about 30 minutes. I used the lanyard if a small flashlight to pull the pins up the first time. Center punch the pin and drill a small hole in it and insert key ring. Any type of wire or cord will work until you find something that you like better. The bottom of the seat needs to be almost all of the way up in the raised position to get the back to snap into place. Thanks for this mod.

Thanks! That worked! Not as much space as I thought but it'll be enough to get some stuff out of my swing case

Play with it enough and you'll find that the latch bar on the rear of the cab is movable. Where it slides to, or is bumped to, while the seat is unlatched will determine what position the seat needs to be in to relatch it. This can be a bit of a pain.

My bracket has paint marks and if I set the rod at the paint marks, the seat latches back without issue.
