Default Anyone worried about being "hacked"?

After reading the stories of Jeeps getting hacked and culprits taking over the brakes and steering, I have to wonder how safe our trucks are...

Knowing what I know about how our vehicles operate, it is indeed a concern not to be taken lightly, we all drive rolling multiplexed networks.

Computer(s) and networks get compromised all the time, there is no difference where our vehicles are concerned, best we can hope for is manufacturers stay ahead of the hackers.

Or unplug.

I'm actually surprised it's taken as long as it has, I remember when obdII hit the scene in the mid 90's, I asked my self how long it would take before the eventuality of hacking would show it's ugly face.

If we get hacked we would have to do a master reset because The hack likely wouldn't work without it.

Default Need a 3 G network

The reason it was easy for them to Hack into the jeep and any Chrysler vehicle was through its 3 g network ....... Too my knowledge F150's dont have a 3 g network or any network of the like for that matter ... maybe the 2015's might have a hot spot or 3 g net ... don't know . But its a pretty serious problem ...... That would more than suck .. driving along and have your truck make a hard right without you doing it ..... would have dire consequences depending on your speed at the time most likely a roll over ......
Been there and done that .... Not Fun that's for sure .... glad it wasn't my truck
