Default If you do this yourself and need clamps

Just in case anyone is looking for them, the original Oetiker 50 MM clamps, as marked on the FOrd clamp, can be bought here for a pack of 10:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For less $8.39 for 10!

Verified: received these today, they are identical to the ones on my 2013 Lariat F150

Then you need to find another shop

Aluminum is very safe, and stronger than steel when used in a wide diameter application

I was quoted $475 locally

I might go this route, unless Ford has a better solution when I drop it off to fix this POS.........I am leaving it there and not picking it back up until the front end clunk and rear end clunk are fixed. No just with grease either

We need a new drive shaft with the nickel plating like ford recalled and install don the ford raptors in 2011. Just watch this video and at about 2 minutes in He tells you he is getting a new one piece nickel plated shaft under the extended service contract. I have a ESP and all they want to do is regrease, I am not going for that. I will be pushing for a new style shaft as hard as I can, this is complete bull of ford putting a band-aid on their poor design mistake. If a raptor gets it we should too, same thing a drive shaft.https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/s...36&action=view

Does Ford make a one piece for the crew cab long bed?

Constantly greasing the splines is absurd on a truck that stickered for $52k

I never had to grease the splines on the one piece shaft, on my old 2004 Dodge Ram 3500.......other than on the original install

Your link brought up a ton of vids, I wasn't sure which one to watch.

I could be wrong but I thought only trucks with a crew cab and the 6.5' bed had a two piece drive shaft. Another thing I could be wrong on but the raptor crew with a 5.5' bed's drive shaft would be too short for mine or anyone else with the longer wheel base.

The one thing I have to argue with you is, you mention "if the raptor gets it, why don't I?" I'm not saying you in particular but other truck owners didn't spend close to what a raptor cost, myself included (even though i bought used). Why should Ford equip my lower packaged truck with the same equipment on their top end model? If I was spending what a raptor cost and found out they were putting raptor specific parts on an XLT or even a bare bones XL, I'd be upset that I'm spending all this money when I don't have to. It's an exclusively thing. XLT trucks are a dime a dozen, raptors are not. Raptor owners are paying for that.

My 13 Lariat, 5.5 bed has a 2 piece drive shaft and this issue. Yes Ford should repair it at any cost trim level, not just more expensive costing trims!

Sorry about that try this link. Ford F150 One Piece Driveshaft Slip Bump- FIX!
It is by the Ford Tech MAKULOCO who is pretty spot on with ford issues. He even got a new Drive shaft on his NON-RAPTOR because this issue effects all f150's and Ford should shell out the $300-$400 dollars these cost to fix it, because the drive shaft cost is there no matter what configuration it is. He mentioned the nickel plating on the newer design and a member here told me he got a 2 piece nickel plated and it fixed his. I have a ESP like Makuloco so I am pushing for one of these today.

As you can see Makuloco didn't settle for grease fix on his even though he mentioned it. He mentions how we f150 guys got the "shaft" so to speak. He didn't want the band aid fix, so he got a new one piece nickel plated for his or he would be regressing over and over which is not a more permeant fix.
