Oem hids, no more high beams
I noticed tonight when i tried to flash my highbeams at someone to go ahead that nothing happened. There was no flash/flicker. When i got ome i pushed the turn signal lever forward, fogs go off and hesdlights go dark. Is this the bulbs or could it be a fuse?

Are they stock on your truck, or did you add oem hid's on a factory halogen truck?

Did the bulbs stay lit when you flashed? I have heard the OEM projectors being plagued with the same issue as the Morimoto projectors where the shield gets stuck but when you say the light went out that is where I am stumped.

You have a 2014, right? I'm asking because my (2014) truck I pull the lever back to turn on my high beams.
Were you just pushing forward, because that's what makes the lights go out? Meaning it's faulty if its pushed by accident?
I hate the new design. My 2005 was push forward to activate high beams and pull back to flash. I miss that design, because if I flash someone to go ahead, it's a fine line between flashing and actually turning on the high beams.

I have the same problem. I have a factory HID retrofit with the aftermarket harness, and Ive identified the problem but haven't come up with a reliable fix yet.
Do your highs flick on for a split second and then shut off? If they do, then the highs work and the problem comes from a flaky connection between the stock h13 plug and the aftermarket harness comnector. The high beam pin isn't making a reliable connection. You could remove the plastic connectors completely and hardwire the connections by soldering, but that's irreversible and not something I want to do.
I was able to get my highs back briefly by fiddling with the connection and attempting to position it in a way that wouldn't disturb it, but thats not a real solution. My highs worked for a day or 3 when I did that but then went right back to not working. I have no solution to this.
If you have the factory optioned HIDs, disregard this post as I know nothing about troubleshooting this problem on the stock setup.

This is what I had to do as well . I got 5 replacement harness before figuring this out. I actually have a brand new one still in the shipping envelop lol . I used a "T" splice but soldering would be the way to go.
