I've never managed to get "CD Text" to work except for "Artist" and "Album (CD) Title" (not song title). I may have to try again though.

Sean, I don't think 2.1 fixed or added any features with importing, but let us know after your test.

Another issue is the age of the Gracenote CDDB. I'm not sure Ford has a plan to upgrade it (similar to the maps ). But I'm hoping a new CDDB will be part of the Navteq map update.

in each .wav music file, right click on it and go to properties, there is a field for all the title, artist, etc. fill those out and then the HDD should be able to read them.

The problem I have is with *.rax files that I download using Rhapsody and burn. The metatags apparently don't transfer to the burned CD, so it shows as unknown artist.

Also, when I play directly from my ipod through the USB port, I first got a message that says that protected songs will not play. So even though there are over 100 songs on the ipod, there are only 47 that are listed on the screen. I haven't double checked, but the ones not shown are probably the *.rax ones.

Yeah you definitely won't be able to play the .rax files - you'd have to un-DRM them with something first.

In Tunes 9, that is autoselected, as least on mine.

Maybe retest this weekend- busy with a few things so we'll see

BUT- the only time that they are in WAV format is once they have been burnt to the CD at which time you cannot change the tags (maybe with a re-writeable, never tried that). When the file is on MP3 and on your computer, no prob changing the tags right clicking, or, in iTunes or Media Player.

Any updates on this issue? I have ordered my truck (should be here before the end of the year) and I want to put music on there as soon as I get it.
