Don't try to put a flow through console in!!!
Ok, I am old school and usually car manufactures go with basic systems, such as wiring harness, dash and so on, then add the options that is needed for the order! Well I guess I just went back to school! I started to look at things and said, I bet I can put that flow through console in without much more problem than the standard console.... Sure I am going to need the side panels with the AC in them, and I will have to make a filler panel between the dash and console. So I got busy and found a great deal on eBay for a 2011 flow through console. It came with the shifter, all the outlets and the outlet for the 110 v, 215.00 to the door. Now keep in mind I hadn't even got the truck yet but,,, well I went on line and found a pretty good deal for the side panels, about 150.00 to the door,,, great I am set!!! the truck came in so I started to tackle the project. So putting the console in,,,,, no problem,,, same as what guys are talking about, had to drill two holes in the mount. Done! cool, so I slid it back and started on the side panels, unhooked the battery since I had to take out the air bag, no biggie, side panel is in and that is when all hell broke loose! Ok, now I know what is wrong,,,, they have two.... dash mounts!! No Way!! although the side panel popped right in there is a empty space behind the panel on the foot well side! Ok still not too bad as I can make those pieces. So I continued,, I remove the panel above the steering wheel to get the other side panel out and then went to put the new panel in and,,,, Huston, we've got a problem. That part of the dash is different, the new piece has a longer side offset and runs into the steering wheel cover by about an inch! the clips that lock in at the steering wheel area are in the same place but the dash sits back so the clips don't fully lock in! the trim piece that covers the Speedo has a clip at the bottom corner and the new side piece doesn't have one! It is empty so it's not like I could cut it out! So don't try this MOD unless you are willing to do what I had to do!! I will post pictures soon as I only have the two pieces to do in the foot well. All in All in will be nice and I will let you be the judge once you see the pictures.

Need to make two trim pieces and install the filler plate between the dash and the console, other than that It is done. Ambient lighting, bass punch, rear camera switch, heater seats, 110v outlet, using the NAV/DVD which also has a usb hard drive on the in line, Sync USB which I had to install a switch to turn it off since you can't run both line in and usb at the same time. both the line in and the USB connections are under the console and the hard drives are in the console storage so I can simply unplug them if I want to add playlists and so on. factory cd is installed in the front console so I have everything I had when I bought it and no PAC's or lockpicks other that the aoem frd-24. No hanging wires, Not one OEM factory wire has been cut or spliced! I also have full time rear camera.

you know what bro - I'm amazed you got that to work. Looks great as is... I'd leave it just like it is. I like the red/blue contrast .... seems to go with the AC/Heat controls.
Great job.
Great job.

Did you move your radio to the front cubby hole of the center console and move that cubby to where the shifter would be? And then put a nav system in? Or am I just seeing things. Looks great though!
