Mine leaks also, but not as bad. I have the drop in liner which doesn't help as I can't get it to seal near the two front corners. I am going to spend some time and silicone it up and see if that helps. Also seems to come in from the stake pockets near the front a bit.

Mine doesn't leak but upon installation of my F1, I could easily see how if I didn't tighten down the bed rail supports and align the cover just right then it would definitely leak. You need someone to firmly hold down the bed rail supports while you tighten them down.

This thread gave me a renewed interest in the subject so I took some new pictures of the issues I was having and sent them in. In return, BakFlip sent me a tracking number for a new cover that is begin built for my truck. I can't really complain about that, I just hope the quality of the new cover is better than my original.

Just received my G2 Backflip from partsengine.ca. While their service was very good I can not say the same about my cover. We had a down pour few hours after I installed the cover and it leaks on the hinges. I can understand it overflown by the drain tubs, however it should not leak in the middle between the panels. I will give it several days to settle in and see what happens....

I got my BakFlip F1 in Jan 2012. It leaked like you described. I contacted the company and they sent me another cover within a few days. The replacement cover withstands heavy downpours and I'm very happy with it. Please contact them. If you can find the email of julian? the owner, you can contact him directly. They want you to be satisfied. Good luck!

partsengine contacted me today telling me that its the rails that have problem......, after I send them pics of water entering and exiting the panel. Contacted Julien at backflip covers for help as I don't want to go through this process 3rd time... Will keep you guys posted.

My F1 is only two months old but it does not leak at all. A bit heavy but overall very satisfied.

My first post on this great forum. I have the Ford Tonneau cover (I think it is a Bak F1) on my new 2013 4 door short box. It rained at camping last night and the bed was dry this morning. I did get quite a bit of water in though when I washed the truck last week. I wanted to install the cover myself, as I am a meticulous tradesman. But a friend at the dealership said that if it was installed by the dealer at the time of vehicle purchase, it would be covered under the Ford bumper to bumper warranty.
I will be scrutinizing the installation after our two camping trips. I have a couple questions in the meantime though.

1. Should the rubber seal on the front of my bedliner go from rail to rail without any gap? There seems to be a bit of a gap on mine. I will check it out completely later and photograph.

2. Can someone tell me more about the tailgate sealing kit mentioned in an earlier post? Is it sold by Ford? Would weather stripping 1/2"? thick by 1"? wide work?

Mark
