Interesting. I have the same truck. STX 14' 4x4 with scab 5.0 the only time there has been regular gas in the truck was the dealer tank. Since then I've been running e85 100% of the time. I have about 2800 miles on truck. My mpg on e85 averages 13.5-14.5 mostly hwy 75-80mph. This thing is a rocket ship. I have to be careful and keep my foot out of it. Lol.

I forgot I am only running 87 octane . I believe the worst I got was like 14.9 but we don't have real steep hills where I live

The e85 around here has been registering 50-60% here lately.

Wish I could say the same about the rocket ship. My truck feels like a turd compares to the old truck. Guess the Xtra weight makes a big difference. This one made really good power. Dynoed it one day at work and with a catback and tune only it made 319/340 to the tires. Tune is a pretty soft tune with only 22* timing and a bit rich on the fuel side. Will probably pick up 10-15 with a bit more aggressive timing and leaning it out. Just wish it got a bit better mileage.

I've got a 2014 SCREW STX. lifetime avg over 58,xxx miles is 16.5. Tank average runs between 15 and 18mpg.

and I swear I get better mileage on 87 than plus or premium. Maybe it's coincidence, but that's what it seems like to me.

Wow, I'm light on the go pedal with my 2010 Xcab with the old 5.4 3.55s and got 23mpg once on the highway but average 20-21 constantly. City I average 14-15

Depending on how often the premium gets bought at your stations, it could be fairly old fuel. I try to buy from new stores that typically stay busy. Reasoning is they sell a lot of fuel and the odds of them having old fuel is pretty slim. I have personally seen more problems with shell fuel also. Every car I've tuned or seen on the dyno usually has 2-3* of spark knock when using she'll premium over pretty much any other fuel supplier. Not sure why, but can only assume it has to do with all the additives they use.

my 2014 is the exact same thing as my 2011 except its a supercrew vs ext.cab and i've dropped 6mpg on the highway. both had the 5.0 and 3.55 and 4x4. I can't get above 18 on the highway at 65. My 2011 I got 23.9 with cruise set at 75 driving to South Carolina. Same trip this year with 2014 i got 17.3.

I've done some searching and (from the ones I have found) it seems to be a trend with the late model '14 to be getting worse mileage then the previous years. I wonder what is different?

Here's all my fill ups except for one that I did on Thanksgiving which I got 16.8 on that tank. The Fill up on 12/13 was 17.4 MPG as well

3/14 was the first tank of 93 Shell I ran
3/21 I filled up with 93 From speedway
3/22 I tuned it... Note the mileage drop...
