Default Spyder headlight problems

All, I just installed the Spyder CCFL Halo's onto my 2010 FX4 screw I got off of carid.com for $350 and while they look awesome, the lighting is horrible. Stocks are way better. Anybody else running into this problem? Had them professionally installed, but could here have been an install problem or is it just a poor quality bulb? Can the bulb be easily replaced? Would you all recommend I switch to Anzo's or Recons or what others? Pissed I already spend $350 plus $120 install and might have to reverse it all. They look great but got to have functionality over looks.

Appreciate your all's help...wealth of info here.

All you can do is add HID bulbs. Standard halogen bulbs are just not bright enough for the projector lens. Many threads on here about them.

Spyder headlights are plug and play. You should have attempted to install them yourself. All you needed was a socket wrench and 10 minutes.

You could put hids in but the headlights are not designed for it. The stock units may still be better.

From what I understand Spyder and Recon are the same.

Sell the Spyders for $350, take that $350 to TRS, do a bit of handiwork, then grin from ear to ear.

I have the same set up but mine came with 6000K HIDs...huge difference in lighting plus nice cut off. Check out my pics in Garage.

Lariboost, I saw a YouTube video that shows they are plug n play, but the guys at the shop swore to me they were not, not for the halos. It took 1 1/2 hours to install!

First, I would go kick that dude that charged you $120 square in the ***** and take your money back. That sh*t took him 5 minutes then he went and bought some beer. Second, www.theretrofitsource.com
