Dealership clueless - Just drilled my own CAC
So after three failed trips to the dealership for the 55-60 stutter (where they basically said "We can't figure it out, please stop bringing it back"), I finally drilled my CAC.
I immediately started drizzling oil. I went for a drive around the neighborhood and came back to the underside of the truck with a nice coating of oil. No stutter, great success.
The first time I took it in, they reflashed my computer and covered the bottom of my CAC. Can I now take that covering back off?
My mpg's took a huge dive after getting the truck back after they messed with it.

Can you post a picture of exactly where you drilled the hole? In relation to other parts so that I can make sure to drill in the right spot?
I dont have the stutter, but it may be a good preventative step. Black RTV can be used to seal the hole back up so its kinda reversible as well from what I have read.

DON'T put rtv sealant over the hole as it will not do its job. It's suppose to weep when water/junk accumulates. Covering it up will negate it's purpose.

Just clean off the oil and call it good. I take it into the dealership for service and they haven't said a thing.
