I didn't want an aftermarket one etc (I'm not hating, it was just preference). My only complaint is that the thing doesn't run long enough (5 mins) and I would like it to stay on for a bit longer. I turn it on before I get changed after work and it's often off by the time I get out there.

you can set the run time from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 15 minutes through the system set up in the truck

Go oem. They are usually plug and play.

After market systems have to be spliced in.

I personally would go with the 2-way system. Longer range and verification that the truck has started

Automotive electrical problems suck, don't let anyone splice wires unless a plug and play is not available.

Agreed. Thats one reason I haven't done a stereo in this truck yet. No plug and play way to get signal to my amps. I can just hear the dealership now "truck wont start because you tapped the speaker wire, warranty denied"

I agree. Nice knowing your truck actually starts without having to look at it. A 2 way system is also good when you can't remember if you locked the truck. Just don't hack one in yourself unless you know what your doing, and stick to a quality brand of bypass (ads) and starter/alarm (compustar). Oem is fine but there are better options out there.
