Default Damn you Traction control!

This is my rant. I hunt, I fish, I ski, I wheel. I know how to use the steering wheel the skinny pedal and the brake. I hate that I now have a computer doing the driving for me. When I'm on the verge of getting stuck and saying "go baby, go!" I don't need the computer braking for me. The hold the button down for 5 second trick doesn't cut it. Someone come up with a fix. Please!

I'm in the same boat. I can't seem to deactivate it, even following the directions in the manual to turn it off. I have a slight incline at the beginning of my drive way, and I never had an issue getting up it when there was a few inches of snow with trucks without the traction control. But this thing cuts the power to the point where the truck bogs down. I need to switch to 4 wheel drive to get up the hill.

I mean I want to disable it but only off road not all the time. If the programmer can do that then great but if not its not worth the law suite after a wreck.

man hearing about the trouble yall are having with the TC in the new trucks makes me appreciate my 05 even more! i hope someone comes up with a fix for this, it seems like it could be a hazard if the TC kicks on at the wrong time.

its not an issue, for every one person complaining there are 3 that arent. Its just different from what people use to and I agree there should be a total off option, so when a programer comes along that can make the sliding car an on off switch for the stability programs I will get the program and install it. Until then I have been in some deep stuff with no issues on traction.......... so take peoples opinnions with a grain of salt.

i usually do too, but if the new F-150's TC is anything like the other vehicles ive driven with TC its worthless. for example, a freind of mine drove his front wheel drive toyota SUV into a snowbank in my yard. had it not had TC it would have easily dug its way out but because the traction control cut so much power and applied so much brake it wouldnt even spin a wheel. it was a friggin joke! i had to yank it out with my truck. it would be nice if it was optional like the chevys are.

I was messing with this one day on a 2010 F150, in our back lot. I went into the menu and turned the sway control off, and it worked fine for me. I could run through a foot of snow spinning the tires all the way

Default its all good

i've been driving around in the snow and i think the traction control is great for normal driving . but if your in deep stuff than yea it sucks but i'll tell ya i tried purposely to try and spin my truck out and it was extremly hard so it makes me feel good when i let my girlfreind drive my truck to work in the snow. so i guess it should be a on /off option
