I was ribbing my dad (77) earlier this afternoon about the lack of weight in his truck and even though i drove it hard, the traction control never came on nor did i go off pavement despite the feeling the rear was going to pass me on a few curves.
he is on driving probation as the truck was just released from the body shop for damage to the front bumper and rh fender from full throttle operations into on coming traffic
i fear i may be driving him more and more as days go by

That ET does not match that trap speed. Is that a typo? If it's trapping at 100 mph, it should easily be in the 13's.

I agree with this ↑↑↑↑↑, something just doesn't add up. Maybe he had a 2.8 60' time or something.
Back on topic, I never drove an EB f150 , but my rcsb 5.0 pulls just fine through the entire rev range & i doubt any EB configuration of the f150 is quicker ( until the tremor hits the streets at least).

I thought this was an F150 forum. F150 is a truck. Trucks are not race cars. When I see someone pounding the crap out of their truck my first thought is what an idiot, you do realize youre in a truck.

At first I had my heart set on an eco-boost and test drove both the eco and 5.0. Don't get me wrong, that little 3.5L is quick but coming from an inline 5 Chevy Colorado I wanted a full size truck that sounded like a full size truck. Sometimes I wish I could swap engines for a day or two but after reading so many posts about Eco-Boost problems I'm happy with what I got. I have no problem getting my 5.0 with the 3.73's rolling down the road and I sound great doing it!
No issues: 99%
Issues: 1%
Just a wild guess. But I bet pretty close considering the success of the EB in sales. Not theres anything wrong with the 5.0 or anyone's choice in the matter of engine selection.........I would just be real curious to know the total numbers of EB issues as a percentage of EB's sold that's all. I'm glad your happy with what you got. It can be so disappointing to get ANY new truck that has an issue.

I have driven both the EB is a different machince for sure I got my 11 5.0 on a D plan EB was an option I couldn't afford. My 5.0 has no problems with down shifting it does have 373s a tune and larger tires which may change the equation

i must have a real big, oh nuthin
I got a 3.7l and its awesome I understand it has less power and I still bought it
bottom line is both of your motors were designed to make power in diff ways.
how you like your power to go to the pavement is why you bought your trucks
can we please stop measuring the size of our ummm
your all faster then me
there you go
oh man now im in trouble

I had an '11 Screw with 3.55:1 and the 5.0L in Lariat trim. Now I have a '13 Screw 3.55:1 EB in Platinum trim. The EB is smoother on the highway, yes you an get to 85 mph without knowing it, it gets 1 mpg more on the interstate commutes, but gets 1 mpg less around town. I don't flog the truk just accelerate quickly. To me the instant acceleration from the traffic light is much better in the 5.0 than the EB. Once I get past the turbo lag the EB runs like a cheetah and will leave the 5.0L in the dust. The initial surge is just lacking in the EB. The 5.0L does sound better, but I really like the quite and smooth acceleration of the EB. My biggest complaint with the EB is the engine stalling during hard acceleration in wet weather. Once this happens and you are completely helpless in driving the truck you will never forget it. IMO Ford did an incompetent design of the intercooler and the outlet line. If Ford would admit they have no one that can redesign it and get an outside source to fix the problem I would have no real issues with the EB. The only reason I got my '13 with the EB is no dealers in my area kept Platinum's with the 5.0L. I think Ford wants to sell the EB to have better CAFE numbers and the dealers will make more money selling the expensive option. My neighbor ordered his '13 Platinum and got the 5.0L. If I had to do it over I would get the 5.0L to eliminate the engine stalling issue because I don't believe Ford is going to fix it - cost is too great plus they would have to admit they are incompetent.
