So how much did you spend on mods? Cause it ain't way faster and stock.

None of these trucks are way faster than another stock.

thats what i get for going off line
I wasnt trying to irritate any 5.0 sowers
it was such a shock driving his truck compared to mine
it felt light on the rear
and the off line get up and go was simply not there compared to my truck
give me a break I am an old and broken, it was simply WEIRD driving his compared to mine
drive one all the time, jump in another one expecting close to the same performance and it didnt happen
we have very windy farm roads that are great for letting the trucks/cars roll on, 65 to 70 is the legal limit so drive it brother
sorry if somebody got their feeling hurt

We know you meant no harm. Like I said earlier, I felt the same way when I finally drove and EB when I want looking for a new personal truck. At that time I had about 40K miles on my work truck 5.0L. I was expecting they were going to be the same in normal driving, but they weren't. Two totally different ways of getting the job done.

No feelings hurt here, heck I had a rental 4x4 Screw with EB & 3.31, it personally wasn't all that either. I believe you, a 5.0 with 3.31's would be sluggish off the line.

Like I said earlier, I bet a 3.7 with 3.73 is as quick or not quicker. Especially if that 5.0 w/ 3.31 is a heavy 4x4 Screw.

But I still think the fastest F-150 stock for stock that you could buy, would be a base XL reg cab short box, 2wd with 5.0 & 3.73 if those gears can even be ordered like that.

*edit* just forgot about the 2014 Tremor with EB and 4.10, but I'm waiting for a report on if the 4.10 rear eats into the boost through 1st gear like people say it does on the FX4 model with the 4.10 option.

I've heard that the EB with 3.55 & 3.73 are actually quicker than a 4.10 equipped FX4 EB as the taller ratio lets the turbos build boost quicker?

So far the quickest stock 5.0L on the forum is LTNBOLT in his 2013 RCSB STX 3.55 LSD at 14.66 @ 100.4 mph.

The quickest bone stone Ecoboost is forum member SICKQK in his 2011 Screw XLT 3.73 at 14.32 @ 94.14 mph.

I know what girth is. I think the OP might have some issues with it though

At first I had my heart set on an eco-boost and test drove both the eco and 5.0. Don't get me wrong, that little 3.5L is quick but coming from an inline 5 Chevy Colorado I wanted a full size truck that sounded like a full size truck. Sometimes I wish I could swap engines for a day or two but after reading so many posts about Eco-Boost problems I'm happy with what I got. I have no problem getting my 5.0 with the 3.73's rolling down the road and I sound great doing it!
