Im officially in business making Ipad and Ipad mini dash kits for our forum. Heres a video of my install, describing how my REMOVABLE Ipad1-3 mounts work

I just finished a top secret ipad 3 build for an anonymous member, and im now working on an Ipad mini mount for crash_ice.

Got it marked out to cut


Tack welding the filler pieces in after some measuring and cutting


Got the base and all the filler pieces welded in tonight

Ignore the bleeding thumb

Corners all reinforced and welded.. the piece will get all shaped tomorrow, no bondo, 100% plastic construction for that strong finish that wont crack or react.

Plenty more to come! stay tuned for the shaped pics, and the paint. this ones getting the gloss black treatment and then being shipped out to canada

Nothing on the truck has to be altered besides moving the factory radio in a different position. home button and front camera are still fully functional! face time on your dash! but not wwhile driving obviously!

That sucks man! and thanks, i was looking forward to building a float mount but the customer wanted this piece.. i think i'll make one just for the hell of it after this! i havent played with fiberglass in a while!

This floatmount project will be my first fiberglass endeavour...I'm a fast learner so hopefully I'll get the hang of it. I think I'll also be re-doing my stealth-mount at some point in the near future. Not happy with how deep the iPad ended up being recessed, and the outer corners are pissing me off! haha. Think I'll try the plastic weld this time around...any tips on how to get it looking perfect? Sorry for the hijack lol
