Default current gear display in the productivity screen?

if you are driving a 2011 F150 with the 4.2 inch screen and tap the manual gear selector if driving in D the gears 1-6 appear up the right hand side of the screen.

is there a way to make them always be there automatically whenever i start driving the truck?

not yet. I wish someone would figure that out, along with digital temp readings for oil, water. Also would be nice to have the tps display tire pressures too. There's so many things that display could be used for, but isn't.

+1 Would love to see tire pressures on there.... That's my only gripe with my '11. I appreciate it letting me know if they drop too low, but would like to be able to see them.

Not only can you use it to see what your in, but I'm pretty sure you can use it to limit the highest gear available. I think say, if you're only in 4th, you can tap the - button to drop off 5 and 6, and top out in 4th...

I would love to be able to put all that stuff, and voltmeter, on the little screen that the radio currently uses after I replace the radio... though I imagine that will be harder then getting them to show up where they are supposed to be.

Yeah, I was surprised to see that the only gauge they show in the LCD display is for the transmission -- would love to see other data points. (The 4WD screen and fuel economy screens are cool..)

Hit the selectable switch while in drive one time and it will show what gear you are in.It shows what gear you are in as they change up or down.

i know. that was what my post said. my question is finding a way to make it show that without having to press the selectable switch every time you drive the truck.

thanks for the replies guys. i wonder if the firmware will ever be updatable?
