Once I had to contact the Mercedes corporate HQ to get a VAVI issue fixed, so I know what you're going through. Cut through the chase and contact the corporate HQ. But, while you wait, I seriously suggest you tint those windows. Here in El Paso Texas no AC will survive without tint, it's just too hot. XMP64,

Thanks. I have no intention of letting this go. My late father was a 35 year Ford of Canada employee and he would never put up with this crap.

Corporate headquarters will be on my list soon. A number of us need a fix for this issue.

lucky644,

It is called what ever they want. One took mine for about a two minute test drive with the driver's window down and said it was working properly. He didn't even have a thermometer with him.

Update:

Well, the 48 hours, and then some, has now passed and I did not receive the call from my customer service representative's supervisor.

For the record, my contact in Canada is Brittany and for some reason, my customer service representative, for a Canadian owned truck, works out of Florida. Her name is Therese.

You can't even get a representative you are dealing with to your area to show them personally that the truck has an A/C problem.

Neither of these two have any power over the dealers.

I'm not impressed and I will start climbing Ford's ladder until I find somebody with some power who actually cares about a Ford owner.

So not that this helps you, but I am glad to see you trying. All things being equal, the A/C in these trucks is truly awful. My background is a 2010 black SCREW lariat 4x4. The A/C has always been underpowered and not blowing cold. i took it to the dealer numerous times when it was still 3/36 coverage. Now I just get frustrated. I tinted the windows this summer, I also insulated the line and both measures helped some.
I live in NC so this week I decided to conduct and experiment. My wife and kids were at the beach, so I used her 2014 toyota highalder in limited trim so both have cooled perforated seats and both are black. Its been in the mid 90's and I am parking her car in the exact spot I usually park my truck. The bottom line is despite the interior volume of the 7 passenger highlander being noticeably larger and the exterior is also black with no tint, the A/C blows freezing cold. In fact my interior trim is tan and hers is also black, so I would expect to need the cooled seats, however, the A/C is so cold I am not even using the cooled seats of her car. In my truck its a necessity unless I want to roast on the way to the office. Both are garage kept also.
Its truly the most equal comparision I can do between systems. Same colors, same seating surface, same garages, same climate, same drive, same parking spots outside all day. The bottom line is toyota obviously has a more robust HVAC system.
I honestly considered trading it in, but my boss purchased a 13 platinum about 4 months ago, and I drove it to Fayeteville last week and its A/C was anemic.
Keep on fighting, because its obviously a problem.

While my own AC does work, I do have to keep it maxed. My old 1993 Sierra? I couldn't keep the AC on max or I would FREEZE to death.

They definitely suck in the new trucks, I also tinted to help and it worked pretty well.

I'll bet she doesn't drive an F150.

the A/C's cooling ability is very subjective. example, in my truck my wife says she is freezing cold and actually shuts her vents while i am still on the warm side.
what i would like to see is all these folks getting on this thread saying mine works great or will freeze you out actually get true vent temps to see how close these trucks really are in putting out vent temps. i would be willing to bet that in the majority of these cases the temps are close by a few degrees.
i did a little experiment of my own it goes as follows.
vehicle at operating temperature, a/c max recirc highest fan setting, vehicle at 70 mph, same accurite thermometer used in each vehicle. this experiment was performed on the same day between the hours of 3-5pm. central texas, temp that day was 98.

wifes 2011 chevy camaro - vent temps. between 38 - 44
my 2014 f150 SCrew - vent temps. between 46 -52
2014 chevy silverado 1500 4 door - vent temps between 36 - 44
2003 ford f 150 ext cab - vent temps between 44 - 50
2012 chevy silverado 4 door - vent temps 36 - 44
2007 ford mustang - vent temps 48 - 56

you can see the trend obviously, regardless of year or make the GM seems to have a more efficient A/C system. not sure why but that's what i found in my not so scientific experiment. i consider my trucks A/C adequate but not nearly as good as i think it should be.

She sold it because her A/C sucked.

Exactly^^^ Most don't post their temps. Four of my older Fords work very well, average range 38*
