Default Courtesy and turn signal wires in doors

Seems like a basic question i know. I plan on installing some led turn signal/courtesy light led's under my truck. I need to wire them up and want to tap into the factory wiring. However i have a 2014 stx with no turn signals or puddle lights in the mirrors. Is the wiring for the mirror signals and puddle lights easily accessible in the door wiring harness in all truck trim levels?

I know in my 12 XLT, it didnt have Puddle Lamps... But the wire (Solid Purple) was on the door side of the mirrors harness.

I would think the blinker wire would be as well... I believe its green with grey stripe for positive blinker wire!

Does anyone know where or if there is a way to pull wires up from under the truck? I bought a set of strip leds that i plan on using as courtesy lights when the truck is unlocked and signals when the turn signals are used. Im trying to figure out the route of the wiring for it before hand. Are there any holes from the underside to access the interior along the floorboards on either side?

well it was 1115 at night, a skunk was in the driveway and figured this would be a tad easier then trying to crawl around under a truck at night fighting off a skunk and looking a tad suspicious LOL

Steve392...I know this is an old thread, but I am doing the same set up on my 2017 STX. Where/how did you tap into turn signal wires? I tapped into rear signals not thinking that the brake and signal are tied together...

I'm more interested in knowing how the skunk is doing these days?

Wrong guy Spiky...you need to hit up Steve392 if you're more interested in Skunks. I just want to know how to resolve my wiring issue.

Would you not just swap mirrors and plug in?

I bought my friend a set of turn signal mirrors for his ‘14 STX SCrew and they plugged right in and worked right then and there.

As as long as you have power package, you should have turn signal and a few other functions at a minimum. It’s spotlight, power fold and some other stuff that takes a different harness and modules.

Thx Johnny, but I don't have power package. I should have clarified that the turn signals are on my running boards and not mirrors.
