COP's
If I am putting new spark plugs in, does that mean I have to change the COP's? If I have all new plugs but the same COP's is that going to mess anything up or...?

No, as long as you have no known issues with any. Unless they are damaged in some fashion they should be fine to use over. Just be careful with them, not to drop them and try not to break the red release tabs.

If you have any trouble getting the red tabs to release on the COPs, try spraying some compressed air on them real good. Couple of mine had same sand stuck in the red tab and made it real hard to open them until I pointed the air nozzle right at the tab. I just cleaned the COPs when I had them out when doing the plugs and put new diaeletric grease on them.

Agreed on no big deal on the locking tabs. Talked to a couple of Ford mechanics and they have not heard of a coil lead coming loose because of no red tab. They do not replace them on their trucks.

what I would suggest is to replace the boots and springs and don't forget the dielectric grease on the inside boot ends. I also use a tad bit on the connector too ... to ensure a water tight seal.
