Tire dealers love Cooper tires because Cooper encourages dealers to be certain the customer is happy. Their "adjustment" policy means if you are unhappy with your Cooper tires, the dealer is able to make adjustments without costing the dealer anything.

I've had them for about six weeks now and they are great tires. I love the Cooper Discoverer ATPs in 275/60R20. My next tires will be Cooper - the traction, ride, and noise are all great. For the price I don't think they can be beat. They are also SMOOTH with no vibration or wobble at any speed.

Thanks for stating to go into the Sport Utility category. Previously I was in the Light Truck category when I was looking at them. I did discover that in the sport utility category you can get two sizes: 275/60R20 and 275/55/R20; but if you are in the light truck category you can only get 275/65/R20. The differences that I can see between the sport utility and light truck categories is the load rating. It looks that the light truck model is rated for higher load capacity, so it must have more plies. Maybe some others can shed some light on more differences.

An LT tire will have more plies and a stronger sidewall. The passenger Coopers I have on my truck are rated around 200 pounds more in capacity over the stock Scorpion STRs. The LT tires will ride rougher due to less sidewall flex at the very least and the fact they run at a higher standard PSI. Last side effect is the tires will be heavier, meaning it can have more of an affect on handling and MPG due to the added rotational mass. My opinion is if the vehicle came with a passenger rated tire - stick with a passenger rated tire. My 1996 F250 has LT tires and it rides like a tank with no suspension. My F150 rides like a luxury car in comparison to that thing.

Unixadm hit the nail on the head. Even though the tire is listed in the "SUV" section they still have higher load ratings than the Stock Pirelli ATR. That's good enough for me.

I have the 275/65/20 LTs on mine and the ride is not that much stiffer that it was with the Perellis. They really did not affect my truck that much at all except to give it FAR FAR better traction than with the total junk stockers...

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but how are you liking your cooper a/t3's so far?I am really considering these for my 08 to replace my Bridgestone Revos,either want these or the Revo 2....How many miles you got on them now?

I love Cooper. They hold up good on my bumpy dirt road.

No worries. I've got about 11,000 miles on mine so far and they are still performing great! They still look brand new, and really the only new comments I have is that we had some pretty heavy thunderstorms move through yesterday and I've had no issues with hydroplaning at all. If I had to do it all over I would still buy them.
