Havent had the nittos but ive almost gone threw my first set of ST Maxx, and going to be replacing them in the spring with the same set. I love them, Ive never had one issue with the tires as far as spinning out in the rain no more than anyother tire. As far as snow goes, its like the truck has tracks on in deep snow they just go, last winter I went up a 6% grade on a the 4 lane covered in snow 6in + of snow on the road and had to get in the median to pass all the cars and 18 wheeler that had spun put on the mountain. Good in the gravel mud and dirt. But as stated above need to rotate often or the side lugs on the tires will chop. I have 40k on mine right now. checked the tread depth last oil change and they were still 5-6 32nds.

I had first gen nitto terra one of my trucks before and they were good , but only lasted 25k. My brother runs the trail grapplers on his jeep and likes the offroad traction, But hates the wet / snow traction on road.

Toyo Mt use to be my go to tire, but do to cost and weight, I looked around at options for my lifted truck.

Found cooper and they could not be beat for the price and weight. So I gave them a chance. Already had them in heavy rain and some light snow. And really impressed with them. Only thing I noticed is the having to rotate often as they seem to cup on the outer lugs after 3k. But other then that super quite and handle great on road. Would recommend the ST-Maxx to anyone and will run them again

What PSI are you running them at? I wonder if you are running them soft, I'll probably run them around 45psi (ill of course be playing with it a lot to dial in but I'd imagine around there)

After playing around with psi for ride and doing the chalk test. I'm 35F and 32R. If I take a long trip or tow, Ill bump them to 45 all around. But at 45 psi, I was only on the center tread chalk test and road like a empty dump truck. And my cupping is only on the inside of front, had ware issues on my factory tires on the same spot. Think its a camber issue, but my alignment print out looks great. Might have to play around with it some more.

I love the wet/snow traction of the Trail Grapplers. Ran them year round on my 2011 FX4 for 3.5 years and 2.5 years on my 2014. I ran the old Terras on my 2006 and they were awful in snow.
