color of the door ajar signal wire
Hello:
Can anybody confirm what is the color of the wire that runs down the passenger side under the plastic plate that supplies the door ajar signal for a 2009 F-150 FX Super cab?
I have installed the Amp Research Power steps on a 2009 F-150 FX Super Cab. I have them installed on the truck no problem strait forward about 1 ½ hours of work but the triggering signal is no correct. I am not sure which truck wires to tap into, the instructions say the green/violet and white, I see two lime green/violet and one dark green/violet and one white. Amp Research website says it need to be the door ajar signal and it will be activated by obtaining a ground connection. When the four triggers wires that go to the power steps controller obtain a connection to ground the steps will extend or retract. I can supply 12 volts to the motors and the steps function properly. Something is wrong with either the trigger signals or the controller its self. Any ideas?
