Default Coilovers, Yey or Ney?

So if you could afford to go with a lift with coilovers, would you? The reason I ask is as I'm saving for a lift, wheels, and tires, I've debate saving a little longer and going with a Coilover setup. But would it be worth it? I plan to keep my truck till it dies, but know that if for some reason I needed to sell my truck, I wouldn't get my money back if I trade it in. Thoughts?

seconded. especially with the thoughts of larger tires, the stock gear does not do a great job with it. the coilovers will make it much better.

What all would be required to achieve a 3" lift?

Coilovers 100%, I recommend the Fox 2.0 front/rears. I just had mine installed and the truck rides like a dream on rainbows. Pics here
