New Truck...Flat tire already ahhhh
Had my new 2011 Fx4 for a week now, couple days after bought it noticed front driver side tire was low, filled it up. Few days later its low again.
Yesterday I saw a screw in the tire. Took wheel across the street to goodyear today to see if they could patch it and the tire was actually leaking from the bead not the screw.
Took tire off and there is an inch long slice straight through the tire on the bead.
Think Ford will replace the under tire warranty?
I'll find out for sure tomorrow morning when i go in, just curious what your thoughts are

I had my 2010 not even six weeks and ran over a broke knife on the way to work. Sliced straight through went flat in like five seconds. Anyway Ford would not replace. It said it's not cover if it's not normal wear and tear. Hope they replace yours.

ford doesnt have any warranty on road hazard. and any defects with the tire have to be take up with the tire manufacture.

If the tire was leaking due to the screw I would expect to pay for it, I wouldn't even go to ford for that. But this case it looks like whoever mounted the tires (Ford) punctured it

This is true; and there is a little booklet or pamphlet inside your zippered owner's guide binder, which speaks to this.
Having said that, I can see Goodyear saying....hey it is not a defect in the tire manufacturing process; and then Ford saying, no we didn't cause the damage during mounting.

My dealer that I bought the truck from has some warranty program that covers tires and wheels that they throw into the deal for free. I told em it was worthless to me, but to my surprise, i had a screw in my tire during the first week of ownership and went back there with my tail between my legs. They got me a brand new tire for free under that warranty program. It was pretty sweet.

My wife had her Avalanche for 3 weeks...Was following a roofing truck....yep. a COUPLE of boxes of roofing rail fell off.. 3 tires ruined. one tire had a total of 33 nails it. Tire is still on display at the Goodyear store. There were about 5 other cars behind her in the same situation.
