Default 2012 Ecoboost whining dog noise

2012 f-150 3.5 ecoboost larriat 4x4. I started hearing a whistling noise. Sounded literally like seagull at first. As the day went on it got louder and more frequent. Sounds like a whining puppy. Stop when I let off the gas. No power loss. No other real problems. Tuned up last year and replaced throttle body intake. Any ideas??? Also do I need to drill a 1/16 inch intercooler weep hole?

Normally when a noise is apparent while on/off the throttle, it points to pinion bearing in the rear differential.
Could be a universal joint on the rear driveshaft, however they usually hum/howl when they have deteriorated.

If you don't know why you would drill a weep hole, then I say you have no need to do so. You would have to have the correct symptoms.
If you are asking assuming it is related, I'd say it is not related to the noise complaint.

It's entirely possible you have boost leak, but you are very light on specific information, so nothing further can be done, you need to find the location/area of the noise.
