If I'm not mistaken '97-'03 FX4 had chrome bumpers, but PTM grille? Saw one earlier today in almost mint shape with a small lift, tasteful but period correct chrome wheels and 35's looked clean and just right.

Again while I'm not against the full monochromatic look (I would gladly take 2013/14 FX) I'm just not sure when the full PTM trend took over in the industry. I swear Dodge errr RAM started it with express Hemi.

In your neck of the wood I probably would have gone with a turbo diesel Hilux, Land Cruiser, or Patrol. But I suppose they are too common there.

I'm not a fan of either extremes. My personal motto is enough chrome to make it sexy, enough black to make it mean. I like mostly PTM with black lights and chrome accents like grilles and wheels. My ideal new truck would be like these I modded on photoshop lol

And my current truck done the same way basically. I really hate the chrome vent shades cause they're too much for it, I plan to paint them black.

You are correct. Not full chrome in front, but never-the-less, still has chrome. Here is one. I still like that body style

Absolutely love the top SBRC and SCREW. The perfect truck. The right blend of bright work and painted surfaces, the wheels are the final touch.

Thanks on the top one I used the raptor bumper and made a center grille with the bars off the main grille.

I thought Ford started it back in 1991 with the Ford Nite, but I may be mistaken.

trucks #2 and #4 are NIIIIIIICE!
if you could stretch #2 into a SCrew I'd trade my XLT in tomorrow... nicely designed.

again, I point out, all this "chrome" people are talking about (other then bumpers), is plastic... "chromed" plastic... ugh.
