Mine was jus like that in January. Brand new Lariat. Warranty fixed it, albeit it took them a damn month to do so! Take it back to the dealer and have em fix it.

I need to take it to my local dealer, not the selling dealer. My local dealer has a history of refusing warranty and TSB work (why I won't buy a truck from them) so I hope this is an easy one. My selling dealer is about 4 hours away.

So, I went out this morning in some better light to check out the rest of the truck... It looks like the lower portion of the entire drive side box/cab is riddled with these bubbles. Brutal...!!! Calling the local dealer tomorrow.

Head to the dealer they will take pics and submit to ford for approval. They will likely approve it. Paint defects that are not caused by an outside source (chips, scratches, other damage) are covered for the 3 year/36k mile warranty

Agreed, and any body shop with a half a brain and good ethics would fix that under warranty.

Shouldn't be a issue. Contact Brittany on here with Ford Service and she can get the ball rolling for you! She help me get this fixed under warranty. Got a rental for 2 days also. A 2014 Fusion.

Update: March 25th 2014

Ford took the truck in last Monday. Said 3 days. Hooked me up with a GMC Acadia as a rental. Truck was finally ready today. They painted the entire rocker on the driver side and it looks good. Probably cost Ford $2500 in rental and body shop time but good luck getting them to touch a timing chain, lol....

I don't have any paint issues like that, but we have an F150 and a Lexus IS350C... If you want to think your Ford paint job is sh***y, park it next to a Lexus. There's no comparison. Subtle orange peel all over the Ford. But, hey, what do you want for $50k? The problem as I see it is that Ford probably follows the same quality control process for the XL as they do the Platinum. They all get the same level of care, or lack thereof.
