Default Changing side view mirrors in 2011 XLT?

So my truck has the stock side view mirrors, and I want to change them out for the bigger towing mirrors. Look at tascaparts, search 2011 Ford F-150, then click on Front Door, then Outside Mirrors, then Mirror. Right now I have the "Mirror Right - Manual w/o trailer tow 2011-12 - Manual w/o trailer tow 2011-12" and the left one, but I want to switch to "Mirror Right - Trailer tow w/o heat - Trailer tow w/o heat" and the left one. I know there is some wiring from the dial inside the truck which positions the actual mirror, would that complicate the switch? Or is it as simple as remove wire from original mirror and attach to new mirror and it will work the same?

They are plug and play, just plug in the wiring connectors. The connector is the same with all power options.

Sort of a plug and play. If you have the rear defrost switch on the center consul then you are good to go. If not then you will need a new climate control with that switch. It is really simple to do I did mine in about 30 minutes last winter. Call Tasca and ask them you should have your VIN number handy so they can cross check.

I don't have the rear defrost. I am thinking of just assembling the new mirror, removing the existing mirror, and attaching the new mirror. Will I have to remove the interior panel that covers the area where the mirror attaches to? To tighten it and all that. I am new to this incase you can't tell.
