Ceramic Brake Pads?
I was just wandering if anyone has upgraded to ceramic pads. I'm just at 1000 miles, but the brake dust is already getting annoying. I like the looks of the 20'' wheels, but man it takes a long time to clean them. Please share any experiences, prices, etc. Thanks.

The carwash sprays sometype of soap on each wheel before it goes down the tunnel but that is it.

I have the same issue. 1-2 days after washing the front wheels are covered with brake dust. I just read another post that had mentioned "kleen Wheels" which is a brake dust cover. They are about $30 a pair and look really easy to install. I'm just not sure if they would look ok or not. It seems like you would be able to see them very easily through the rims.

Some people don't like the feel of the ceramic pads. I've installed them on all of my vehicles including my old F-150 and I have always been very happy with them. I'll probably install them on my 09 F150 but not until the original pads needs replacement. The dust doesn't really bother me between bi-weekly visits from my detailer.

Good observations !!
I do not have much of a brake dust problem on my '09.
I had the ceramic pads on my former F250, but I did not like the feel, nor the increased pedal pressure it took to stop my truck. I ditched them and went to a semi-metallic pad.
Again, a matter of personal like vs. dislike with one's own experience.

Clean your wheels
The 20" wheels are the easiest to clean. Just use a microfiber towel and wipe them off every other day. It only takes about 8 minutes. That's what the detailers will tell you. Clean wheels give the appearance that the truck is clean. I've done this on my past 2 cars and never had any pitting or staining on any of the rims.
