Default CB Radio/Antenna Install

I am looking for guidance on installation of a Cobra 75 WXST CB Radio (or any other model) in my 2012 Super Crew Ecoboost. I have a center seat (no console except when seat is folded down). I'd like to mount a Firestik Antenna to either the hood or the bed. But the bed has a Toneau Cover, so space is limited. Any ideas on what works best. Any photos of how I could get the coax cable through the fire wall in the front or from the bed to the front?

Thanks.

Just the other day someone was discussing this, but it was a basic wiring question.

You can easily come from the back to the front via grommets that are under the cab.

Here are some threads on this topic.

The forum is large, and the search often hard to work right. Using site:f150forum.com SEARCHTERMHERE will let Google do the work for you.

Posted pictures of my install one year ago with similar objectives. Mine was "no-drill" other than rear curb side of bumper cap (plus enlarged existing hole in bumper below). You'll see that I routed coax into the cab through a drain hole plug and located a remote Cobra speaker there (since then, attached using 3M Dual Lock to center front of Tuffy locking security box as shown here.

Default Power

DirtDawg, how did you power the unit. I see the box behind the speaker.

Since I have the center console with rear 12v port located there, I connected a cig plug to Cobra power wires which you'll in my pics. Plan was to access same 12v port wiring inside back side of the console but I haven't found an easy way to do that without major disassembly of the console, from dash panel back to the section I want to access. The radio works great as-is with strong transmission signal, so unlikely I'll go that route.
