im looking into adding some boost to my 5.0 . im looking at the prochager stage 2 or the magnusan super charger. what would the pros and cons be and why chose one stly over the other?

MAK Performance

Top mounts(Magnuson) are more aggressive on the bottom end. Very Torquie, very aggressive down low. Make decent power, but get hot fast and lose performance. Suffer from heat soak more than other types of blowers. Their power curve is very flat. They get up to peak power fast and then just stay there, tend to die on the top end.

Centrigugals(Prochargers) are not as aggresive downlow since they are RPM dependent, but tend to run cooler and not suffer from heat soak as much(Procharger includes a mongolic size intercooler.) They make better power, their power curve never dies on the top end. The faster you spin them, the more power they will make. A lot closer to the performance of a turbo when compared to top mounts.

We prefer centrifugals because they make more power easier, but some people prefer that brute kick in the behind feel of a top mount. Its personal preference. Let us know when your ready we are distributors for both Magnuson and Procharger and can offer you the best pricing.

Did Magnuson start manufacturing a kit for the 5.0 again? Because I know when I was looking you couldn't get them anywhere because they had stopped making them.
