Someone backed into my new 2013 F150 (with 82 miles), this was in the parking lot at Walmart, so they couldn't have been going very fast. The damage for a 3-4 MPH accident done by a delivery truck or enclosed trailer hitting the top of the bed by the tail gate and rear bumper at the same time. You wouldn't believe how it totaled the side of the bed (will need replaced along with tail light assembly, rear bumper and all the misc brackets and decals on damaged area). Yes who ever did this never left any message or anything, just left the accident. Local Police won't get involved being on private property. Went to two body shops, both est. in the same range at $3,800 for repairs, there my Christmas in a nutshell. So be careful where you park because these aren't the old F150 of yesteryear - these fold up pretty easy.
It sucks but I've been there before too.

Don't you have comprehensive coverage? That's what it's there for and it shouldn't cause any increase in premiums. Even with a deductible it's nuts to not have it.

Different story, but can relate.

Was waiting for my wife once in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in my '95 F250 PowerStroke. The key was off, brakes were on, parking brake on, etc. Sitting there minding my own business reading a magazine of some sort.

So a lady in an Escalade pulls into the spot right across from me...and keeps rolling forward....and keeps rolling...etc. She was rolling at about 1.342 miles an hour so I wasn't worried, but I figured "Why not see what happens."

Sure enough....*doink* she bumps my truck. I just shook my head - I knew there was no damage done - but then SHE gets out and runs over and starts yelling at me for hitting her truck.

So I just sat there and said "Lady, my truck was OFF, parking brake is STILL on...." and she kept yelling at me...until an off-duty cop moseyed over and informed her that he saw the whole thing, and that if she persisted, he'd write a report not in her favor.

*smh*

I had a guy do that to my Chebby. I was parked nose is, and he pulled in and was maybe rolling 2mph when he hit my bumper. Didn't cause any damage, but the guy try to pretend like nothing happened. He backed up a couple inches, got out, and started to walk away, after looking right at me in the driver's seat!

In that same Chebby, I was waiting to pick up the wife after work one day, and a woman pulled in to my right. Opened her door into the side of my truck and then leaned on her door to stand up. I open my window and ask her WTF, and she also tries to just shut her door and walk off. When I jumped out and confronted her walking away, she tried to say she didn't do anything at all to cause the crease in my door panel. Really? After she sees me see her do it, she's going to try and deny it? She just continued to walk around me and into the hair salon next to where my wife worked. I proceeded to open my passenger door and leave a nice crease in her driver side door, then did the same to the back door. And then put little pebbles under her air caps so they would slowly air down. You ain't playing that kind of game with me and not pay!

Although I wouldn't condone such behavior, I have to say they deserved it.

If someone door checked me right in front of me and acted like it didn't happen I'd probably see red and seek revenge too.

The day I got my new truck ('12 FX4) some jaggoff in a 300c parked behind me, hitting my bumper with his plate (no scratches, but it cut the plastic on the bumper) I ripped his front plate (bracket included) off and left it on his hood.

Its like... How about I do that to you, wouldn't you say something!? Wouldn't you be pissed?

Some people deserve to get effed with right back.

Friend of mine had a brand new 2006 F-150. We parked it wayyyy out in the boonies. We come out and there is some piece of crap Oldsmobile parked next to it and a nice crease in the door of my buddy's truck with guess what, the same color paint in it. He got a 10 yard run at the car and drop kicked the door, caving it in and busting the window. Ah sweet justice.

Real justice would be gathering the proper information and evidence so that the other vehicle owner/driver would be held responsible for the repair.
Doing damage to that vehicle is more like vigilante justice. Just more violence and fuel to keep the fire burning.
At the very least, count to 10 before reacting.

My truck was less than one day old and I DID park all alone away from everyone in walmart parking lot. I got back in it and someone had shot my windshield with a BB gun. It didn't shatter but I still had to get it replaced. I guess parking out away from everyone else they felt like no one would see them.....and they were right.

I guarantee the owner of this car didn't have insurance AND I like vigilante justice.

That's ****ing awesome lol

Same thing happened my 94 ranger, yeah it was a 94 but the paint was in amazing condition for its age, someone door dinged me in the parking lot so I decided to buy a bag of flour and bottles of water and decorated their car

My fiances car 2011optima was keyed by a tree company because I told them to get off our 4-5 month old concrete driveway with a loaded f650 dumpbed, I was a lil rude because they kept pestering us. She walked out a couple days after I told them to scram to the word "tree" carved into her rear passenger door. We knew it was them so we filed a claim, but I took it a step further and went and slit half their trucks tires at their shop.
Payback is a bitch and half if you **** with me lol
