Default Passenger side turbo inlet pipe install ??

I found out the hard way that drilling into a cold plastic turbo inlet pipe isn't a smart thing to do. I was installing a catch can and attempted drilling into the molded boss on the pass side pipe, when the drill bit caught, it broke a larger piece off. The good news is that a new part is only $40. The bad news is it looks like a biotch to install.

Do any members here have any experience removing and/or installing this part and have any tips to share?

As a temporary fix until I can replace the pipe, I was able to seal it up with some self fusing tape (stuff great BTW) and there isn't any leakage and truck runs fine...
