Can we start a big thread for drop in speakers
I have a 2010 screw xlt and I would like to create a thread for the best drop in speakers I think the stick is 6x8 but was hoping to get first hand accounts from people who have upgraded would like to know the best options have stock head unit so far

If you plan on disconnecting the stock tweeter, and running coaxial speakers... anything that fits inside the door hole and doesn't exceed the mounting depth of the door, will work fine, albeit probably a little under powered.
EDIT... now that I think about it.. im not sure if a full range signal is sent to the door speakers. It wouldn't be hard to put new mids in the doors, and snip/splice new tweeters into the A pillars, if you want to run components.

If you want drop in speakers to run off HU the look at 6x8/6x7 with a high sensitivity rating.
I run infinity Kappas as they have a very high sensitivity rating, basically the use the low watts as efficiently as possible.
They are great off the stock HU and really shined after hooking up to Kenwood HU, so much so that I'm not worried about amping them.
They have a tweeter that is adjustable and has a built in crossover.
