Default A/C Filter ?

How can I tell if I have one and where is it located? Owners Manual is no help, only says (change if equipped).

My son went driving through the desert with the windows open and the A/C on .........he is shampooing the interior as I write this, like to clean the filter or install one as the truck is blowing dust now!

Thanks for any help!

Only cabin air filter(s) since 2008 are those for the heated/cooled seating. *Recommended maintenance is 30,000 miles.

This is just BS! They should have at least made the air box to accept one and let owners choose weather to install it. I sure would like to have something to filter this dirty LA air! Lol

RH (passenger) lower cowl area.

Might try to retro something.

It's not that there is anything wrong with the air. It's all the crap that's in the air. Especially if a person is in a dusty environment. I keep mine a/c mostly in recirc mode to keep the outside air out. IMHO I would like to have a least a simple air filter to stop some of the dust and stuff.

I am very happy my F-150 has no filter. I find it very annoying when cars do, they never used to and things were just fine. Just something else that is often hard to replace and things go wrong with it.
