Default A/C Fan speed stuck on high '09 F150 Lariat....any others??

My F150 with 42K miles has a fan speed that is stuck on the A/C unit. The temp adjustments as well as the other controls work although the speed cannot be adjusted as it is stuck on a high fan speed. The display shows the control increasing or decreasing although the fan speed is the same unless you just turn off the A/C.

I did some searches as well as RTFM but had no success. Has anyone else had this issue or know of a TSB on the issue?

Thanks for any feedback you have on experience with this issue.

Rod

I dont know about the F150 but in my ranger the fan has a simple switch for off and max speed, then a resistor that allows the fan to turn at 2-3 speeds, one day I heard a pop then all I had was a simple max and off for my fan.............. i dont know but its a very simple part to replace about 15 at advanced.

Default A/C fan speed stuck on high

I am having the exact same problem. The display shows the fan speed levels changing, but the blower stays on the same speed, a high speed, and will not change. Like you, I can change everything else, just not the fan speed. I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow morning, so I hope its nothing to bad.... sounds like some kind of resistor.

Had A/C problems with my 09. The lower settings stopped blowing. Only had high. Ford replaced the a/c motor. All good now.
