Default A/C condenser leaks.....

2011 ECO. 55k miles. A/c wasn't blowing that cold. It would get colder when driving on the highway. At idle was terrible. I have extended warranty (thank god) and took it in. After a day they told me it was the condenser. They told me it was leaking and will replace it. Does that sound right?

It certainly could be one! I don't know if that 2011 engine has a fan clutch on it or not, but if it does I would start there, then the electric fans, then the condenser.

However I was wondering....why would the a/c be cold when moving fast if it is leaking? If it is low on freon then it should be not so cool idle or moving right?

OK. I made a mistake on my original post. It was not my condenser leaking, it is my evaporator leaking.

Hey 1968dave,

Sounds like things are moving in the right direction! Please let me know if I can enlist the aid of your regional customer service manager to help your truck stay cool. I just need a PM with your full name, best contact number, VIN, and dealership information to get started.

Chad
