Default Buying new tires

I can't decide what tires to get so I'm looking for some input. I've narrowed it down to Toyo a/t 2 extremes (295 60 r20), Nitto Trail Grapplers (295 60 r20) and Duratracs (285 60 r20) I'm open to other options though. I live in Edmonton so there will be snow, ice and packed snow.

Well I think you're the first to ask this... TODAY...

https://www.f150forum.com/f38/choosi...-tires-303889/

This is asked almost daily. There are dozens and dozens of posts where people give totally subjective advice based on a sample of 1 or 2 "I like X, it works good.".

The linked post above includes a STUDY done by Consumer Reports which rates the top tires in several categories including snow and ice (different).

You can also search and find the multitude of posts where people express their subjective opinions including earlier this week.

You can also look at the tire sites - Tirerack.com, Discounttire.com and read a bunch of subjective opinions summarized.

In general, a good off-road tires is a LOUSY snow tire and a really awful ice tire.

Duratracs. They have the mountain/snowflake symbol and do great on packed snow.

Duratracs are a Fantastic Winter Tire, I had them on my Jeep Rubicon for years and now on my F150 as well.

I bought the Duratracs after 53xxx on my Pirellis. What a night and day difference! Really like them and am impressed with how quiet they are.

Snow/Ice = Duratracs. Next best thing to a dedicated snow tire.
