Washed my truck. Specs of rust all over front and rear bumpers and the side steps. I'm quite annoyed! Looking on this forum and google, this is very common.

This is amazing stuff. I actually use this exclusively on my chrome.... 3rd f150 and I live in mn where they salt the roads a LOT.

So I washed my truck again today before giving it a wax. Noticed that the specs of rust came off with washing or rubbing my finger. As I've never had a vehicle with chrome numpers I'm not sure if this is normal. Should I be worried?

Default B.S.

my 2010 started to rust on the passenger side vertical lip about a month after I bought it. Dealership said it was normal, and that the other side was probably doing the same thing. I told him no it wasn't, it is just the passengers side. Then they said it is normal...all of the truck do this. I then asked the rep to take a walk through the service area to where there were 7 other f150's, simialr vintage....not a single one had rust on it. Bottom line is that I had the bumper replaced at no charge. A year and a half later, the new bumper does not have any rust on it.

And...My wifes 2010 F150 does not have any rust on the bumper.....

My issue was not rail dust, as the spots on mine were the size of pencil erasers, and bubbling the chrome.
