36k Warranty expiring, what to check for?
I have done google and forum searches for items to have dealer check.
Does anyone have experience with items found right before the 36k warranty expires?
I'm about 500 miles shy and going to take in this weekend. Any suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated

Now I have the 2013 Ecoboost and got the warranty. Just peace of mind.
Something to consider if you plan on keeping the truck for a while. Price goes up quickly after 36,000 miles.

Can't answer your question but I totally agree with cford716. It's a gamble but with shop rates @ $100/hour and high priced parts, an extended warranty is a MUST for me. There are lots of options and many are equal to or better than the Ford plans. Spending that $1100 sure makes me sleep good at night.

I do have the extended service plan but wondering since my factory warranty of 3yr/36k is expiring. Should I take it in, with the intention of them finding something to replace under warranty?
Inspec and lubricate steering, ball joints, suspension, brake pads.
I do have the 1-2 gear jump sometimes and the rear jump from reverse occasionally. Question is then, could I take it and say "find some thing to replace under warranty?"

Second I again would at least price some extended warranties. My last truck I didn't and that was one of the factors with me getting the new truck. As someone said to me, you don't get life insurance hoping to get your moneys worth anytime soon.

Of course their reply is "that's not what the salesman told me".

I had a checkup done before the warranty was up on my 2009. Dealer found all was well except the passenger's side upper control arm was worn out. Apparently the bearing or bushing was gone on it
