Default Bug Deflector - great weapon against the elements!

You're driving on the highway, confident and relaxed, you enjoy the ride in your great car, and suddenly you see bug stains on your window, you hear something hitting your hood and the day is ruined. Familiar situation? For such cases automotive manufacturers created bug deflectors and we would like to share more information about this useful accessory.
Bug shields stop chips, dents and stains before they occur, protect the hood and the lower part of your windshield, keep insects from splattering and complement the style of your vehicle with its aerodynamic design. WeatherTech, as a leading manufacturer in car protection area, has designed Stone and Bug Deflector for the 2014 Ford F-150.

WeatherTech® - Dark Smoke Stone and Bug Deflector is aerodynamically designed to provide excellent protection against stone chips and bug stains. It is made from aerospace-grade acrylic, attaches easily to your vehicle using either a 3M®-brand automotive adhesive tape, or fasteners that use existing holes in the vehicle's hood, and backed by 3-Year Warranty.

I think they look ugly on 12th gen F150s so don't I run one. I've been lucky so far...3.5 years and no chips on my grill surround or hood yet.

Great for you that you didn't have any issues. But somebody might have them and in this case this information will be useful. However, we appreciate your feedback!

Comes down to luck sometimes! Even if you don't drive close, or don't go near gravel roads. I bought my 2011 used and it had the deflector on it. It was kinda weathered but some headlight restorer cleaned it up perfectly. Last time I washed it I found a huge gouge in it from a rock, that would have made a pretty nasty mark on the hood so that sold me on adding them to my next truck regardless of looks or how good a driver I am.

I agree they are ugly. Further, I wouldn't want Weathertech's (or any other) brand name printed on something that visible.

I always found that the stones know you have one so they purposely hit below or above the deflector. For that reason I don't run them anymore.

I have always had a bug deflector on my trucks. I want to see one on a truck in person before I buy.

I really like the look of the stock ford deflector better than any of the aftermarket ones... I just bought a used one for 50$, buffed it with some headlight restore and installed this morning... Looks awesome, especially on oxford white blacked out... really pops out and I love the square look of the Ford one.
