Okay so this may be dumb.
So I have a 2013 Ford F-150 xlt crew cab. Came with a 4 pin trailer plug. I installed a brake controller and bought the plug that plugs in under the dash. I would like to know if 1. Anyone knows if the trailer brake wire runs with the harness to the bake where the 4 pin is. 2. Is there a connection that I can connect into so that I can have a 4 pin and seven blade plug at the back like the new trucks have. With the new trailer I’m pulling I need to have the trailer brakes hooked up. Anything will be greatly appreciated.

You have a 50/50 chance. Some trucks that only have the 4 pin connector at the bumper, still have all 7 wires (6+ground) ran to the rear. Other trucks only have the 4 in the rear, with the others under the hood.
first step, lay on your back under the rear bumper and trace the harness from the 4 pin connector about a foot or so to another connector. This is the harness from under the hood. This may have 6 wires, you're in luck, or only 3 wires, you're not so lucky.
if you have 6 wires you can buy the 7 pin harness and extend from there. If you have only 3, you have to extend from under the hood.
you'll also need fuses and relays for the power distribution box on top of the raditir.
