Default Brighter backup lights?

Anything out there (bulb replacement) to brighten up the view out back at night?

Yes, as reported in another recent thread, I picked up a few dual bulb packs of Sylvania SilverStars (ST) in size 921, to replace both backup bulbs, as well as the three bulbs in the combo light at the rear of the cab roof, for brake and cargo lighting.

While these are not the perfect fix, they do offer about (as advertised) 30-35% increased light output, with a much whiter hue, to upgrade from the dimmer stock standard 921's.

This is a fix which is less costly than going to an LED type component, and I am very happy with the upgrade, in addition to my ST's in the tail and stop lights and my new ST H13 (9008) headlight bulbs.

I just installed bully trailer hitch backup lights on my truck. They fit on your recevier hitch and do a great job. Ordered them from Cabella's for I think $49.

Wow, that's a nice clean setup to use when towing or not, especially if you are out in the boonies, e.g., camping, on a very dark night !!

I would make sure I had a hitch lock for these guys!!

kind of a more expensive way to go. But I've been thinking about getting it. Still leaves access for your receiver. http://www.whitenight.com/

A lotta guys around here who snowplow use them. Make big difference at night, of course. Thanks

Also, I just got in the mail my pair of SilverStar 921ST bulbs for my regular backup lights, per your recommendation. THANKS!

Ditto...

I bought cheapo $15 fog lamp pattern ones that stick on with 3M tape. Wiring was easy as there is a reverse hot line at the 7-pin bargman connector, center connector.

I think it added 5 HP!
