Default Bluetooth call quality or lack thereof

I searched around for this issue, but didn't come up with anything.

I have a 2013 FX4 with the Myford touch Nav. My question is about the call quality. When on a call there seems to be a lot of background noise and static heard by the other party. I can switch my phone off of Bluetooth and quality is restored. I currently am using an iPhone 5S, but also tried several other brand phones with the same result.

Question I'm wondering if any of you guys are having similar issues?

Thanks for the help in advance.

2013 screw xtr package same issue. Really defeats the purpose of the hands free calling when the other person can barely hear you.

I have the Platinum and a Samsung S4 and have excellent quality. My daughter has the iPhone in a 2012 Honda Pilot and I can barely understand her when she calls me.

I use bluetooth to make calls on my 2011 and my iPhone 5s, and I haven't had a single complaint as of yet. Everyone says it has sounded crystal clear when talking to me. I wonder if they changed the microphone or something in the newer models?

I have currently tried a Samsung S3, S4, HTC one, iPhone 4S, 5, and 5s with all having the same result.

I have never had a person even notice I am on truck speakers with Bluetooth... do you put the phone in console maybe? Unhook the negative battery for 10 minutes and retry... it cant hurt

I am wondering the same thing about it being changed. I had a 2010 Lariat and didn't have any issues. Same goes for my auto ac, but that's another story for a different day.

byte I normally keep it in my pocket or the front cup holder.

I had originally thought it might be the wife's '14 mustang, because it only seemed to happen while talking to her, but it only goes away when I take my phone off of Bluetooth.

No issues in my 2011 or my wife's 2013 Expedition. None of my Ford owning friends have talked about issues either. Must be a problem with the equipment. I'd bring in for service....

On another note, a friend of mine has a 2013 duramax denali, his hands free sounds like he's talking from the back seat. We give him crap all the time...should have bought a ford.
